Western Norfolk
It's easy to skip past the west on your way into Norfolk, but there's a lot to do here. The north of the region is quiet with quaint villages and some of Norfolk’s best wildlife. As well as having good access to the north coast, the region is close to the Wash, another favourite with bird watchers.
King's Lynn is the biggest town and offers everything from cinemas and restaurants to monster trucking. Sandringham, Norfolk’s most famous country house, is just north of King's Lynn.
Towards the south, Thetford is well worth visiting as a relaxing town break. The town has the largest Norman Castle mound and is next to England’s largest lowland pine forest.
