Burgh castle, the marina and the surrounding area have a wealth of things to do. The castle itself is worth seeing but isn't the major attraction except that it gives a good view- it’s long abandoned and there's very little left. The marina, which is close by, is in an excellent position for exploring the broads by boat, and is about an hour from the sea. There's plenty of facilities- boat owners using the marina can buy gas and use the showers, toilets, swimming pool and launderette (see site for details).
The rivers provide excellent opportunities for fishing, walking, wildlife watching and cycling. There are several nature reserves, a windmill and a pub close by.
