Great Yarmouth
Great Yarmouth is the tourist capital of Norfolk. As its name suggests, it is situated at the mouth of the river Yare which is where the broads open into the sea. It has about 5miles of wide, mostly sandy beach and the coast road is lined with sea-side amusements including the Sealife Centre and the Pleasure Beach. The town is an odd shape at it is sandwiched between the coast and the river Yare which runs parallel to the sea for several miles.
The East side of the town has a long coast road which is lined with most of the attractions, while the west side of the town is a less tourist-ed port. The town relies heavily on tourism which is mainly a summer pursuit, so although vibrant when it’s warm many attractions shut down for the winter.
