The puppet theatre was opened in 1980 in the old church of St James- it is one of many examples of Norwich's old churches being given new vocations. The theatre prides it's self on it's original work and live music and aims to "develop a public taste for the artform of puppet theatre". As well as performances the theatre runs workshops suitable for children over 5 and is the base of the Norwich Puppet Theatre company which tours the UK and overseas.
