The Bure Valley Railway is Norfolk’s longest narrow gauge railway. It mostly runs on steam trains, but there are some diesels used as well (listed on timetable). One end is at Aylsham, the line then passes through Brampton, Buxton Lammas and Coltishall, all of which it stops at on request, and ends at Wroxham. It’s a 9 mile trip one-way with many bridges and good views across the countryside. The route can also be done on foot or bike as a path runs the length of the track.

The trains are usually fully accessible with space for at least four normal wheelchairs on each train. It may be helpful during the height of the summer to phone before travel to double check there are no other large wheelchair parties already travelling on our trains that day. Check the timetable on the website before travelling.
